Dr. Curtis Koons

Hi, I'm Dr. Koons.

I'm a board-certified physician, serial entrepreneur, and self-described tech nerd. The Slow Saturday is my weekly note on the intersection of medicine, entrepreneurship, and technology.

I'm board-certified in Anesthesiology, Obesity Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine. My clinical work centers on something I find deeply motivating: helping people not just live longer, but feel better and stay healthier across every year of their lives.

Alongside medicine, I've built and led companies. I'm the founder of Bluegrass Precision Wellness and Bluegrass Precision Supplements, where I get to combine rigorous clinical care with the messy, rewarding work of building a business from the ground up.

I'm also a tech nerd. I spend a lot of time thinking about AI, automation, integrations, and where emerging technology meets medicine and everyday work. A lot of what I write comes out of experiments I'm running on myself, my patients, and my companies.

The Slow Saturday is my way of sharing what I learn across all of it, without the hype. One note, every Saturday morning.
